ACHA is unable to provide supervised practise for international Doctors. What Medical Officers are employed by ACHA? Each of the three ACHA hospitals employs medical officers. These medical officers are classified as Salaried Medical Officers (SMO). SMO’s are primarily employed to support patient care prescribed by Visiting Medical Officers (Specialists) within specific specialty units, and to provide emergency care to all other patients in the ACHA hospitals.
